Tea Ceremony Classes

The ritual of preparing tea reflects the aesthetic of the cultures who enjoy it. The tea ceremony can be a spiritual or meditative practice, a performance of highly refined, exacting movements, an extravagant spectacle or a simple cup of tea made for guests. Originating in China and spreading to Japan and other tea consuming countries, the tea ceremony, in its numerous permutations, is an enjoyable journey into another side of tea appreciation, regardless of style. Courses offered include intensive, 3 day classes in Japanese tea ceremony Cha No You, and Chinese Gong Fu tea ceremony as well as a 3 hour Intro to Chinese Tea Ceremony and a 90 minute Gong Fu Tea Ceremony demonstration.
