Homelands of Tea Series

With over 5000 years of history, tea is one of the most ancient and and wide-spread things in the world. Originating in Southwest China, tea is now grown commercially in over 60 countries. It has evolved along side many of the major cultures of the world and has developed in myriad variations and manifestations. The courses in this series focus on the major tea producing origins and their cultures. Extensive work includes tea tasting, developing an informed understand of the differences of production methods, terroir, tea bush varietals and evaluation. Discussion also includes variations in tea preparation and enjoyment.
