These uniquely innovative, focused tasting events permit sixteen members around the world and in the comfort of their own locations, to receive Cupping Event Sample Kits directly from the origin country. Cupping Events evaluate specific teas from key producing regions, for example First Flush Darjeelings from select estates. Kits include: 2 ounce (57 gram) samples of typically 8 to 10 teas; tea cupping set, tea tasting terminology chart, cupping evaluation log forms, thermometer, gram scale, water pH test strips, specific cupping procedures and extremely detailed information on each sample. Cupping comments are posted on the ITCC Community Board and after being combined, are supplied to the producers who can use the comments to improve their quality and better serve consumer preferences.
